About Dr Rinku Baishya
Rinku Baishya is a Senior Scientist in CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat and an Assistant Professor in Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad. He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy from Dibrugarh University, his Master of Science in Pharmacy from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Kolkata, and his Doctor of Philosophy from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR-IICB), Kolkata. He received the Institute Gold Medal (M.S.) from NIPER, as well as the Senior Research Fellow (Ph.D.) awards from DAE and CSIR. After receiving the PBC Post Doctoral Fellow award from The Council for Higher Education, Planning and Budgeting Committee, Government of Israel, he went on to become a post-doctoral fellow at Ben Gurion University in Israel. His research focuses on validation of traditional and folklore medicines of Northeast India. His Lab emphasizes research related to cancer, inflammation, neurological diseases, antioxidant systems, chemical characterization and many more.
